Mike Huang joined Needham & Company in 2010. Previously, he was managing director, senior research analyst at ThinkEquity for six years covering SaaS/application software. He was the Starmine Top Stock Picker in 2009 for Software. Prior to ThinkEquity, he was a senior research associate at Soundview and RBC Capital Markets covering application software. Prior to Wall Street, Mike worked at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as a technology architecture manager. Mike earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell and an MBA with honors (Beta Gamma Sigma) from the Columbia Business School.

Mayank Tandon joined Needham & Company in 2011. Previously, Mayank was a research analyst at Signal Hill covering the financial technology/IT services and BPO sectors. Prior to Signal Hill, he was the software and services equity research analyst at Fidelity Investments, where he led the software and services research effort, and also managed the Select Software and Computer Services Fund for two years. Before joining Fidelity, Mayank spent several years at Janney Montgomery Scott covering a broad range of IT services companies with a focus on consulting and outsourcing. Mayank holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Northeastern and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Bombay.

Richard Valera has been with Needham & Company since 1997 covering Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software and Communications Equipment. He has been ranked multiple times in The Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" Poll and Starmine Analyst Awards in the Communications Equipment and Software categories, including the Number 1 ranking for Software stock picking in the 2011 Starmine survey. Prior to Needham he spent nine years in the EDA industry, most recently as a senior Applications Consultant at Synopsys, an industry-leading provider of logic synthesis and verification tools. Prior to Synopsys, he was employed at Viewlogic Systems and RacalRedac/HHB Systems in a variety of technical and marketing capacities. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.
