Greg Giannakopoulos joined Needham & Company in 2015. He leads Needham and Company’s institutional sales and sales trading units, responsible for delivering equity research, corporate access, execution services and investment banking products and services to the firm’s institutional clients. Greg has 16 years of public and private capital markets experience, most recently as the NY Head of Institutional Equity Sales at Raymond James. Prior to that, Greg spent 14 years at Deutsche Bank in various banking, sales and leadership roles. He began in Equity Capital Markets origination, then moved into senior positions in both equity research and prime finance sales within DB’s Institutional Client Group. From 2010 to 2012, Greg led DB’s North American Middle Markets sales desk. During this period, Greg served as a member of the firm’s Americas Cash Equity Executive Committee. Greg earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond. While at Princeton, Greg was a three-time letter winner as a member of its Ivy championship football team. Greg is a Life Member of the Princeton Varsity Club.
