John J. Prior, Jr.
Chief Executive Officer and Head of Investment Banking
Mr. Prior is Chief Executive Officer and heads Needham & Company's financial advisory activities. Since joining Needham & Company in 1996 from Lehman Brothers, where he was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division, Mr. Prior has advised on more than 100 transactions. Previously, Mr. Prior had been a General Partner of Scully Brothers & Foss, an investment bank that provided financial advisory services to a number of corporations, including IBM, Xerox, General Motors, Hughes Electronics, and EDS. Mr. Prior began his career at Salomon Brothers, where he was a banking officer in the Communications and Technology Group. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
Chad W. Keck
Vice Chairman, Managing Director
Mr. Keck is Vice Chairman of Investment Banking and has 27 years of experience. Since starting Needham & Company's West Coast operations in 1991, Mr. Keck has been Needham & Company's senior banker in over 100 transactions, including 30 initial public offerings. Prior to joining Needham & Company, Mr. Keck was a Managing Director and Head of Prudential Bache's San Francisco Investment Banking Group. Other investment banking experience includes three years in First Boston's Technology Group and founding and co-heading Smith Barney's Technology Financing Group. Mr. Keck also spent three years at Electronic Data Systems and four years as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy and received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
