Our equity business is conducted by professionals who are highly experienced in the markets and the securities of the companies whose equities we trade. The Needham sales force has an in depth knowledge of the companies we cover and the complex technologies they address. The sales force expertise is in how to disseminate this information in a manner which suits clients investment management style. Our sales professionals host numerous companies on non-deal roadshows to visit our institutional clients. We always maintain a heavy schedule of companies visiting our offices in New York, Boston and California to familiarize our professionals with, and update them on, the business of those companies. Our research analysts also visit institutions with our salespeople on a frequent basis. We host a number of mini-marketing events between investors and companies, such as smaller conferences, plant tours and bus tours.

Needham & Company hosts two major conferences each year in New York. Our Growth Stock Conference has been held each January since 1999. In January 2008, we hosted presentations by more than 400 companies to about 3,000 attendees. Our Sixth 
Annual Biotechnology Conference was held May 2007 and featured 125 companies.
