Alec Jones joined Needham & Company in 2017 and currently serves as a Managing Director within the firm’s Technology Investment Banking group, where he helps lead Needham’s coverage of the FinTech, Cryptoasset & Blockchain, and Compute Infrastructure sectors. Within FinTech, his coverage focuses on companies powering financial services for both enterprises and consumers, including payments technology and financial infrastructure, as well as consumer lending, investing, and trading platforms. In Cryptoassets & Blockchain, he focuses on companies serving the digital asset ecosystem, including exchanges, custody platforms, stablecoin technologies, and crypto miners. In Compute Infrastructure, he covers data center operators, neoclouds, and other providers of the physical infrastructure underpinning AI workloads. In each sector, he works closely with public and private companies on a wide range of capital raising and advisory assignments. Alec graduated from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College with a BS in Management, concentrating in Finance and Accounting.
